CBE Senior Award Winners Honored at the College of Engineering Awards Ceremony

At the end of each spring semester, departments in the College of Engineering choose recipients of their Senior Awards. The award categories are Scholarly Achievement, Leadership and Citizenship, Humanities and Service. Only graduating seniors are eligible for selection.

The CBE 2023 Senior Award winners are: Scholarly Achievement, Andrew Berley; Leadership, Noha Zayan; and Citizenship and Service, Connor Hoke. Department award recipients are honored at the College of Engineering Awards Ceremony and college-wide recipients are selected from the pool of department awardees.

Noha Zayan was selected as the 2023 College of Engineering Leadership Award winner. 

Throughout her time at NC State, Noha exemplified leadership through her numerous roles across campus. She served as technology chair and then president of AIChE, as well as an engineering ambassador, a CBE student ambassador, and a chancellor’s aide.

Additionally, Noha was a teaching assistant for three semesters and was heavily involved in several organizations including the Muslim Student Association, Arab Student Organization, CHAARG, Club Fencing, Research and Development Club, Women in Science and Engineering Village, Canvas Club and Girls Engineering Change.

Because of her exemplary leadership, Noha has helped make a significant impact on the campus.
