Prof. Abolhasani is Awarded the 2025 ACS Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship Award
Prof. Milad Abolhasani is the Americas regional winner of the 2025 ACS Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship Award! This award recognizes the leading contributions of scientists and engineers active in the general fields of green chemistry, green engineering, and sustainability in the broadest sense of the chemical enterprise and are awarded each year in collaboration with the ACS Green Chemistry Institute. Prof. Abolhasani is being honored for his pioneering work on “Self-Driving Laboratories”–integrating flow reactors, online reaction monitoring, and autonomous experimentation.
At NC State, Prof. Abolhasani leads a dynamic and interdisciplinary research team dedicated to revolutionizing materials science and chemistry through the development of Self-Driving Fluidic Labs—autonomous robotic experimentation platforms for the accelerated discovery and scalable manufacturing of advanced functional materials and molecules. “Self-driving labs will serve as collaborators for human researchers, significantly reducing the time and cost required to reach scientific solutions,” he says.
Congrats on this achievement, Prof. Abolhasani!
