Alum Jeff R. Garwood is the Featured Speaker at the COE Homecoming Kick-Off
Alum Jeff R. Garwood (B.S. ’84) is the featured speaker at this year’s College of Engineering Homecoming Weekend Kick-Off event on Friday, November 2nd. The title of Jeff’s talk is “Waste to Value: Ideas and Opportunities.”
Garwood is the founder and managing member of Liberation Capital, a global private equity firm specializing in CleanTech solutions such as alternative energy, waste water treatment and water reuse. He’s formerly the President and CEO of GE Water & Process Technologies – a $2.5B global infrastructure business. He also was the President of GE Fanuc, a leader in industrial automation, and the President of GE’s Garrett Aviation Services business.
Jeff began his career at Dupont, where he served as a project and process engineer in the Petrochemicals Division, then McKinsey & Co, and was COO at Commerx and Youcentric. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from NCS, and received an MBA from UNC.
