Tyler Void Honored with an AIChE Minority Scholarship Award
Tyler Void, a junior-level CBE student, has received an AIChE Minority Scholarship Award from the Minority Affairs Committee of the AIChE. The Minority Affairs Committee encourages, promotes, and enhances educational opportunities for under-represented populations in chemical engineering.
Void is from Greensboro, NC and is actively involved in many areas of the NC State community. He currently serves as a senator for the NC State Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers and is a Caldwell fellow.
Tyler believes a combination of luck and hard work have contributed to the successes he’s had in life. “I consider myself more of a lucky person because, while I reached to claim opportunities presented to me, I’m a bit lucky for them to be presented to me at all, let alone them having a good outcome. I love helping people out with anything they need if I can,” Void said.
Congratulations, Tyler on your wonderful achievements!
