Khandoker Samaher Salem

Khandoker Samaher Salem is a Postdoctoral fellow in the Khan group, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NC State University. He also maintains his appointment as Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his doctoral degree in Forest Biomaterials and his master’s in Materials Science and Engineering from NCSU. His research focuses on surface modification of lignocellulosic materials for barrier application and hygiene products, as well as the synthesis of new materials by upcycling wastes and their valorization through sustainable applications. He likes to play soccer, badminton and chess in his leisure time.
