We are pleased to announce that Katherine Ernst has successfully passed her preliminary examination and advanced to PhD candidacy. On February 16, 2026 she presented her research titled “Investigating the Formation, Microstructure, and Rheology of Pickering Emulsions Stabilized by Nanodiamonds and Bacteria.” Her work is conducted under the guidance of Dr. Saad A. Khan, with committee members Dr. Raoul Farer, Dr. Jan Genzer, Dr. Lilian Hsiao, Dr. Al. Rumyantsev, and Dr. Tafreshi. This milestone reflects the strength and significance of her research, and we look forward to her continued contributions.
