Professor Dickey is a Recipient of an Academy of Outstanding Faculty in Extension and Engagement Award
Professor Michael Dickey has received the Academy of Outstanding Faculty in Extension and Engagement award.
The Academy of Outstanding Faculty in Extension and Engagement award recognizes outstanding extension work and engagement by NC State faculty members. Faculty members are nominated and selected by their respective colleges for this award.
In April 2023, NC State’s Office of Outreach and Engagement hosted its awards celebration at the Park Alumni Center. Professor Michael Dickey received the Academy of Outstanding Faculty in Extension and Engagement award on behalf of the College of Engineering for his commitment to fulfilling the University’s land-grant mission and his outstanding extension work to the community.
Because of the impact of his work and research, Professor Dickey has also received numerous other awards including the NC State Outstanding Engagement Award, the Alumni Association Distinguished Graduate Professorship Award, the Alumni Association Outstanding Research Award, the Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor Award, and the Alcoa Foundation Distinguished Engineering Research Award.
