The major thrust is the controlled on-chip assembly of colloidal particles into advanced materials and microscopic functional structures. Our research could underlie future technologies for fabrication of chemical and biological sensors, photonic devices, microscale materials synthesis, bioelectronic interfacing, and rapid fabrication
