AIChE Southern Region Student Conference 2024 Round-up

The chapter would like to acknowledge a number of members for their participation across sessions offered at the conference.

STUDENT POSTER COMPETITION PRESENTERS
Two NC State students entered the poster competition

• Cade Harrington – Dendritic Organic Radical Polymers as Cathodes for Lithium-ion Batteries; advised by Drs. Velev and Fedkiw
• Sydney Buchsbaum – Effects of Sodium Chloride on Oak Biomass Pretreatment using a Lactic Acid-Methyl Isobutyl Ketone Cosolvent; advised by Dr. Park

Great work representing the chapter and the department! We hope you will consider presenting again at Nationals.

Chem-E CAR COMPETITION

Kudos to our Chem-E Car team for a solid effort. Team members who attended included Krys Woodruff, Cade Harrington, Jacob Ferace, Gedler Arevalo Rivera, Sydney Buchsbaum and honorary team member for the weekend, Mohammed Naseeb (who we hope will consider officially joining the team!). The chapter appreciated your perseverance, creativity, and positive attitude! Thanks for all your efforts and we look forward to future successes!

FINAL NOTES

• We would like to specifically recognize our first-year students, Hannah, Krys, TK, Mohammed, and Dylan. The chapter is extremely proud to have your involvement! We look forward to the marks you will make on the chapter during your time at NC State!
