CBE Student Chapter Kicks Off the AIChE Video Challenge

In January, the Executive Student Committee (ESC) of AIChE introduced its “Show-and-Tell Challenge,” a video challenge in which an AIChE Student Chapter has one month to produce and upload a short video about an interesting aspect of their Student Chapter, their school, or their state or country’s culture.

CBE’s Student Chapter (based on their merit and chapter reputation) was selected to produce the inaugural video. Elton Luong, the Chapter’s Publicity Chair, took the lead in creating it. According to Chapter President Rachel Scroggins, the video shows, “what makes our university and student chapter amazing.”

Chapter members consistently bring home awards and scholarships from regional and national AIChE meetings. At the most recent AIChE Student Conference, the Chapter received its 21st Outstanding Student Chapter Award, marking their 19th award in the past 20 years, and the 8^th consecutive award. The ESC is featuring the video on their website and on AIChE social media. The student-run committee’s intention is to help chemical engineering students get the most out of AIChE.
