Carwynn Rivera

CBE Student Ambassador

Bio

My name is Carwynn (car-win) Rivera, and I am currently a senior in Chemical Engineering. I’m taking the Engineering Entrepreneurship Senior Design class! This past summer I was able to work in Utah for Texas Instruments (yes the calculator one) as a Process Characterization Intern. I’m an accomplished Engineering Head Team Advisor at the National Student Leadership Conference, mentoring 300+ high school students and guiding their leadership and teamwork skills. On campus, I’m active in involvement with American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and you can usually spot me at Carmichael taking a fitness class a few times a week. My 2+ year research experience includes optimizing low-k dielectrics and improving metal-organic framework growth, resulting in a published paper. Outside of academia, I’m an avid music enthusiast, fitness advocate, and passionate supporter of Wolfpack sports.
