Bio

Hello! I’m Emanuel Aponte, a senior chemical engineering student at NC State University. I’ve been actively involved on campus as Vice President of Records for AIChE and in the past as Publicity Officer for Circle K International, roles that have allowed me to develop valuable skills in organization and teamwork. This summer, I’m gaining practical work experience as a seasonal environmental health technician, where I ensure public swimming pools and spas adhere to safety regulations in Wake County, contributing to community health and safety. In my academic pursuits, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to research projects, including investigating product distribution of polypropylene pyrolysis at Penn State University and studying biochar’s effectiveness for greywater treatment at NCSU. In addition to my academic pursuits and work, I enjoy exploring the outdoors through hiking and I also like to play video games.
