Prof. Matthew Cooper is an Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Programs. He served as an energy researcher at RTI International before joining the NC State faculty in 2011. Prof. Cooper has won a number of awards, both at NC State and nationally, for teaching and engineering education research. He currently serves in the Chair rotation of the Education Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), is a past Chair of the Chemical Engineering Division of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and serves as an ABET Program Evaluator.
