Mentoring Program
Information for students.
Program Goals
Opportunity for students to explore potential career paths, make professional connections, and begin the transition into responsible and engaged engineers who are ready to make a difference.
Being a mentee for two years, I feel more confident in my transition from a student to a professional. Connecting with alumni who share similar interests has helped me navigate my path. I have gained insight and advice on how to navigate my Ph.D., improve my resume, interview and network. I recommend it to any Ph.D. student who wants to grow professionally.

Why Participate?
By participating in this program, you’ll obtain career guidance, networking opportunities, and real-world insights that help bridge the gap between college and the professional world. Students can develop key skills, gain confidence, receive resume and interview support, and build meaningful relationships that can support their growth long after graduation.

Program Commitment
We ask all student mentees to commit to 1 hour/month for one academic year (September-May). This time should be used for one-on-one meetings with alumni mentors, either in person or via Zoom/video call.
Matching Process
Using your application responses, we match current CBE undergraduates, master’s, and Ph.D. students with CBE alumni mentors based on their educational backgrounds, career experiences, future goals, and areas of interest within chemical engineering.
