On December 2nd, the Velev Research Group had our annual holiday dinner at Dr. Velev’s house! Although two of our current graduate members were missing from our photo due to sickness and flight schedules, former group member David Chang was able to join us, and we were once again joined by Dr. Stoyanov from Unilever, who can be seen curving the turkeys with Dr. Velev.
Leading up to the dinner, all the PhD students were able to meet with Dr. Stoyanov and get advice and new experiment ideas on all of our different projects. As part of his last day on the NCSU campus, Dr. Stoyanov gave an outstanding seminar to the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department titled “Stimulus Responsive Capillary Suspensions.”
