Dr. Velev Gives Rockwell Lecture at UH

Dr. Velev was given the honor of kicking off University of Houston Engineering’s Spring 2020 Distinguished Rockwell Lecture Series on Friday, January 24!

Dr. Velev gave a talk titled “Liquid Nanofabrication of Functional Multiphasic Soft Matter by Capillary Binding and Interfacial Templating.” He included our group’s current research on the use of multiphasic liquid-liquid-polymer systems to make a rich variety of novel colloidal structures and materials.

The Rockwell Distinguished Lecture Series is named for Elizabeth Dennis Rockwell, a University of Houston alumnae, industry expert and philanthropist who passed away in 2011.

Thank you to UH Engineering for inviting Professor Velev to present the exciting research going on in our group (and for sharing these photos online)! Go Coogs!
