Four Velev group members presented at the 96th ACS Colloids conference in Golden, Colorado. Dr. Velev presented on “Particles with Gecko Legs: SDCs for gels & coatings”
Fourth-year group member, Yosra Kotb had an oral presentation on her work about “sustainable biopolymer films” and a poster on “epoxy-phenolic coatings on metals”.
Third-year group member Sneha Mukherjee presented her work on “wearable sweat sensors” and second-year group members Haeleen Hong and Abhirup Basu had oral presentations about their work on “microplastic remediation using self-propelling particles” and “magnetic hierarchical assemblies” respectively. MS student Colin Donaldson presented a poster on “3D structures using magneto-capillary gels”.
The group had an amazing time in Golden interacting with the colloidal science community and it was indeed a great place to exchange ideas and have some very fruitful discussions about science and technology.
