Group member Mike Petrecca successfully defended his PhD dissertation on “Applications of Polymers at Electrified Interfaces: 1) Hierarchical Shear-Derived Battery Components 2) Characterization of Polyester Powder Coating”. He was co-advised with Dr. Peter Fedkiw. Throughout his PhD, Mike achieved significant milestones by working on several projects and collaborating with many research groups. Mike effectively represented the Velev group at several national and international conferences and symposiums and mentored many undergraduate and master students. Additionally, Mike had actively served the department in many roles, including CBE GSA officer as well as Grad Recruiting Captain.
