Group member Haeleen Hong successfully defended her PhD dissertation on “Bio-inspired Design of Active Soft Matter Microcleaners or Broad-Spectrum Microplastics Capture and Removal”. Throughout her PhD, Haeleen achieved significant milestones by working on several projects and collaborating with other research groups. Haeleen effectively represented the Velev group at several conferences and symposiums and mentored many undergraduate students.
